In July, youth from Tennessee, Kentucky and West Virginia all gathered in Nashville for a 2-week intensive summer of service. During the mornings these radiant youth studied Ruhi Institute course on how to become teachers of Children’s Classes and animators of Jr Youth Spiritual Empowerment Groups. In the afternoons they went out into neighborhoods, met with community members and invited youth and children to classes. In the second week they held intensive classes for youth and children in two neighborhoods. In the evenings they prayed, sang, reflected and prepared for the next day. The jr youth groups and children’s classes that were started during the second week are now being sustained by local youth.
